Upon Secrecy

I just read a short historical book about the spies during the Revolutionary War. It was very informative and told me a lot about how the spies in the civil war conveyed there messages. If you like short historical books, that have pictures, this is a good book for you.

NCTE

Sorry for not posting in over a month but I have been busy. So in November during Thanksgiving break I went to NCTE. At NTCE I would stand in line to get books signed. I earned a lot of money doing this and I can't wait till next year. I have already read a few of the many books that we got at NCTE.  The one I am currently reading is titled Deck Z.

Deck Z

So far it is a very good book. In the beginning of the book the main character is going to this village in China to find out what new plague has come to town. They show him these two men that have started to decay but are still strong and very aggressive. One of the men bites the main character but because of his thick jacket, the bite, does not pierce his skin. Their tour guide kicks the infected man off of the main character but then is bitten in the neck. The bite pierces the skin and she is infected. They  decide to transport her by train to Germany to study this plague. What happens next? Read the book and find out.

Have a merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Middle School Retreat

Last weekend I went on a Lutheran Retreat. This retreat was only for middle school students. I had a lot of fun there and had time with God. They had a band there called the Living Stones and they played some songs every mass event. The theme for the event was Glow and let your light shine. They also had a speaker, Jeff Meinz. He was a really good speaker and had some funny stories to tell us. On the last night there was a dance from 9 to midnight also known as LIGHTS OUT. I had lots of fun and little sleep, I can't wait till next year.I also learned of a funny game called the stick game. In the stick game you hold a stick really high up in the air, stare at its tip and spin around twenty times. You then have to throw it on the ground and jump over it.
